The idea to start of a label was born in early 2006, where founder and manager, Daniela Fintrilakis, also known as DJane Miss Napalm, sat down with a few good friends, and drew up the plan. Pursuing the goal to get pumping progressive sound established again.
Knowing a lot of people that produce great sound, but may never get signed anywhere, the intention was to do exactly that. Sign good quality sound from Artists that may not be so well known and give them a chance. So in April 2006 Elektro-lyte Records hit the market with a white label release featuring 3 different Artists (Instant Water, STC & Marvin Lee Gates)with 3 different styles of music.This white label was distributed only amongst the online record stores in Germany by the Elektro-lyte crew themselves and did remarkably well.
After taking a short break and getting signed by Critical Rhythm in 2007, Elektro-lyte Records now emphasizes on High Quality Productions, by signing Artists such as Markus Wesen, Peter Gun, Hatfield & Beckers, DFuzhion, Morgan Cardinale and the Dirty House Catz, ensuring well produced high end sound. Although not forgetting the idea from the beginning, to support newcomers as well, Artists that have been in the Elektro-lyte team from the start such as Instant Water, Marvin lee Gates, & STC.
Since November 2006 Elektro-lyte Recs also has its own Radio Show “Elektro-lyte music for your brain” on www.ensonic.fm, hosted by yours truly, Miss Napalm, where besides interviews with artists such as Peter Juergens and others, all Elyte Artists and Productions are promoted.
